Sudzy Connect

Sudzy Connect lets you set up automated, custom text messages the first time a customer orders as a walkin, the first time a customer orders online, and when customers are late to pick up their clothing (e.g. their clothing has been sitting on the rack too many days).

Step 1. Download Sudzy Message

The Sudzy Message app lets you do two-way texting with your customers. For example, when you send the ready text from the Point of Sale, customers often reply. In Sudzy Message, you see what customers texted your store and reply back. If you don't know your Sudzy Message phone line, email support@sudzy.co.

1. Download Sudzy Message in the iOS or Google Play store on your and your employees’ phones or iPads. Log in with the phone linked to the employee in the portal.

2. Try it out: Simulating a customer, text “Hi” to your Sudzy Message line from a mobile phone. Now open Sudzy Message and you’ll see the text as the store. If you don’t have push notifications turned on you may want to enable them on your phone or iPad.

3. Now simulating a customer, try calling that number from a phone. It will redirect customers to your store landline. If the customer is already in the POS it will announce the name of the customer calling before connecting your store.

4. If your store has already set up your online ordering: Simulating a customer, text “pickup” to that number from your phone. It will send a link to your online ordering. If you haven't set up your online ordering yet, learn how here.

Step 2. Configure Sudzy Connect

Now we will configure automatic customized texts to accelerate your business. Go to Portal -> Add-Ons -> Notification. You will see there are three different types of automatic text notifications you can enable:

  1. Late Pickup Notifications
  2. New Walkins Message
  3. New Online Customers Message

Late Pickup Notifications:

This will automatically text customers a custom message if their clothing has been in the store for a certain number of days that you choose. For example, if customers have left their clothing in your store for 8 days and you want to remind them to pick up their clothing.

You must check the "Notify My Customers For Late Pickup" box. Then specify:

  • The weekday and time to send the alert.
  • Number of days to alert customers after when clothing has not been picked up
  • Message template (up to 120 characters)

Make sure to click the blue Save button in the top of the page.

New Walkins Message

This will automatically text customers a custom message after their first walkin order.

You must check the "Notify My New Walkins Customers" box. Then specify:

  • Time to alert
  • Message template (up to 120 characters)

New Online Customers Message

This will automatically text customers a custom message after their first online order.

You must check the "Notify My New Online Customers" box. Then specify:

  • Time to alert
  • Message template (up to 120 characters)
