Heat Seals

How Do You Use Heat Seals?

What Process Do You Use In Your Store?

Dry cleaners and laundries use heat seal presses to permanently apply barcode and text labels to laundry and dry cleaning. This method allows to alert on operator error by supervisor auditing.

We see several use cases when using heat seals in different store, for example some love to add extra steps and some like to skip some. Sudzy POS supports all different workflows so you just need to see how to configure the system so it can work for you.

Configuration

Step 1. Add Detailing Step in POS

You can skip this step if you add your items when creating an order. If you create quick orders then later come back and detail the orders , you can add a Detailing step:

1. In your POS dashboard, click the hamburger icon in the top left of the dashboard.

2. Click Settings.

3. Select "Dashboard" on the left.

4. Click "Add Step". Name it Detailing. Make sure the page it is attached to is "search".

5. Drag and drop to move Detailing to after Dropoff so it will appear second in the POS dashboard.

6. Click Close in the top left to return to the home page.

In Settings -> Dashboard, optionally add Detailing step

5. Click "Add Step". Name it Assembly. Click "search" next to your new Assembly step and change the page attached to it to "assembly".

6. Will you use the Assembly Station rather than the POS to mark orders as ready and rack them? If so, you can keep the Mark Ready step here. You should drag and drop the Assembly to before Mark Ready.

If you will use the POS to mark orders ready, you can swipe left on Mark Ready and click the purple trash icon to delete it.
